LONDON, 17th May 2018: Metric Capital Partners (“MCP”, “Metric”), the European private capital group, has announced the completion of the sale of its investment in Domia Group (“Domia”), owner of the French number one player in the private tutoring market (Acadomia) and the French fast-growing home-cleaning player (Shiva), to IK Small Cap I Fund, managed by IK Investment Partners (“IK”).

Acadomia is the leading player in the primary, secondary, higher-education and test-prep tutoring markets (at-home, centers, online). It currently operates a network of nearly 100 agencies and is working with 20,000 tutors to help its 90,000 students meet their academic goals and enhance their educational life. Shiva is a leading and the fastest-growing player in the home-cleaning market. Shiva serves its 45,000-strong client-base thanks to a unique network of 8,000 selected, trained and highly-experienced maids and relies on a network of 165 franchised agencies throughout France.

The sale follows Metric’s investment in the Domia in May 2013.

John Sinik, Managing Partner at MCP, commented: “We are extremely pleased with our investment in Domia and the returns that this transaction has generated for our investors, which reflect Metric’s direct involvement in supporting its portfolio companies to strengthen their operations. At the time of investment, we were attracted by the strength of Domia Group’s brands and business model and viewed its businesses, in both tutoring and home cleaning, as having unique opportunities for growth”

David Scheurl, Partner at MCP, commented: “During the life of our investment, Domia Group has achieved a strong and profitable growth year after year, allowing a successful exit path for Metric. We wish the company, its teams and IK all the best in their next chapter of growth.”

John Sinik, Managing Partner at MCP, and David Scheurl, Partner at MCP, both represented Metric on the Company’s board during the life of the investment.
